If someone other than the winning bidder is picking up the auction item, you must provide authorization via email or in writing, along with proof of your identification.
Item may be removed by appointment only.

No assistance will be provided to determine if the vehicle will start.
Must have proper equipment to remove vehicle as quickly as possible.
No maintenance or repair work of any type will be permitted on property. Tire replacement will be allowed for transporting.
Non-Running vehicles must be towed.
Vehicle maintenance records will not be provided.
License plates have been removed and temporary tags will not be provided.

The reserve is set.  The county may consider bids that are lower than this amount but may also refuse bids not meeting the reserve.  
Winning bidder is responsible for all costs associated with title transfer and plates.  Current title is in the County's name so it will be an easy transfer.  Winning bidder must call to arrange a pick up time.

Removal. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from the agency premises within ten (10) business days after payment has been received. If the Buyer, after making payment for an item, fails to remove the item within the specified time, the agency reserves the right (1) to retain all payments; and (2) to dispose of the item through another auction or otherwise. Successful bidders are responsible for packing, loading, removing and transporting all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Notice of Award. The Buyer must make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will agency assume responsibility for packing, loading or transporting auction item(s). Winning Buyer's Driver's license/photo ID required for auction transaction.

Attention: 1- Do NOT bid if our Terms and Conditions can NOT be met (Payment/Pickup dates within auction). 2- Shortly after an auction ends, the winner of the auction will receive an email from Public Surplus telling them they have won. This email will be titled “Winning Notice on Auction…” and will include five detailed steps that will help guide you through successful completion of your auction.  Remember, Payment is made to Public Surplus. PayMac handles all payments for Clay County Schools.

Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.


Clay County Schools will charge a sales tax of 6%. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding.

A Buyers Premium of 10.5% may be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.

All sales are final. Public Processing will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.

The successful bidder will be responsible for packing, and/or loading any item(s) at pick-up, if necessary.
