Cataloger’s Description: This evocative work by Carol Grigg captures the minimalist, spiritual essence of the Pacific Northwest and Southwestern artistic traditions. Known for her "primitive-modern" style, Grigg utilizes a desert-hued palette and vast negative space to create a tranquil, suspended moment in time. This piece, originally curated by the notable Mary Peachin’s Art Company in Tucson, is a quintessential example of Grigg’s mastery of the horse-and-rider theme, making it a serene addition to any collection of contemporary Indigenous-inspired art.
