CITY WILL NOT PACKAGE, LOAD, OR SHIP ANYTHING. Buyer is responsible.
PayMac, a third party payment processor, handles all payments for the City of Independence.
Acceptable forms of payment are: wire transfer, Visa, MasterCard, Discover. NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Payment must be received within five (5) business days of close of auction
City of Independence will collect 7.85% sales tax on non-vehicles items if applicable. The buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.
Buyer's Premium: A ten percent (10%) Buyer's Premium will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction to collect payment.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. Payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick-up or the City will not release the item.
Bid Deposits: City of Independence may require bid deposits to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers.
Pick-up hours are by appointment only.
Removal. Buyer must remove item(s) from City premises within five (5) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Notice of Award. If the Buyer fails to remove the item within the specified period, the City will retain any and all payments and dispose of the item.
